Scientific selection criteria for colour coated panels in coastal areas

Application industry: coastal high salt fog area.

Industry characteristics: coastal areas due to high humidity all year round, and salt fog climate formed by seawater on the colour plate corrosion damage degree is large, in the selection of colour coated sheet mainly consider corrosion resistance.

In the seaside use of colour coated sheet, need thick coating of colour plate or coating relatively dense paint varieties, because the seawater in the chlorine ion penetration ability is very strong, it can through the thin coating or not dense coating directly corrosion of the substrate plating. It is not recommended to use colour coated steel in places where seawater can splash.

Option: Considering the salt fog environment in coastal areas, it is recommended to use salt fog resistant PVDF fluorocarbon colour steel plate or HDP high weather resistant colour steel plate.

The base plate should be AZ150 aluminium zinc plated plate or Z275 galvanised plate, the thickness of the front coating should not be less than 25 μm. due to the inherent salt fog resistance of high film thickness powder coating, salt fog environment buildings can also use high film thickness powder colour coated plate.
